Day 97 - November 24: Cranioplasty: Neuro ICU Evening Update

Thank you thank you thank you for your fervent prayers!!! We praise God for bringing Dad through today's brain surgery!! A miracle yet again! And what an experience to encounter some of the lovely people God placed on Dad's path the first time for them to see what progress God has made in healing Dad so quickly, knowing how far He has come already and what a miracle it all is! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thank you, God!! We give you the glory! ❤️🙌🏻🎉

We are praying for pain relief and restful sleep tonight for Dad, along with protection from complications such as bleeding and infection. ❤️🙏🏻

Day 100- November 27th: Discharged!

Today has been such a blessing! Dad was discharged from Upstate and has returned to "Castleview"!!! 🥳🥳🥳  Dad did well on the drive and made it home before any snow storms! 😀 Thank you for your prayers!!  The JP drain was removed from his head yesterday as the drainage had essentially resolved and met criteria for removal. 🙌 A not so comfortable experience but  made it through! Thankful to have his dad there for support during the removal and got a few extra stitches as part of this process. Repeat CT scan was good!  Yesterday had more opportunities to get out of bed and visit with family. Pain had overall been well managed with Tylenol for 24hrs plus. Today, got clearance to shower and had incision cleaned. Learned how to care for the incision and signs to monitor for infection/complications. Plan for follow up in 2wks with neurosurgery to have stitches removed. Dad reports already feeling an overall improvement in mood and feeling "more normal"!🙌❤  Must say,
