Day 101- November 28: Dad Moved into His Heavenly Home Today

It is with saddened hearts that we share with you that Chas/Dad passed away this afternoon. It was all very sudden and Amy, Heather and Scotty were all present and responded very quickly. They were encouraged by EMS that they took all the right steps but believe that he had a stroke (the coroner confirmed that it was actually a massive pulmonary embolism) and were not able to revive him. We continue to trust in God, knowing that no matter our circumstances He is a good and faithful Father even in the hard and difficult things we face. Even today we have been reminded by all the blessings and miracles we've witnessed along this journey and continue to be touched by the ways that God used Chas to reach many lives. Dad had just reached out to several people this morning and shared with our family:

"We know at least one we can share... accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior as they were at my bedside during my first stay in hospital!  I was so stoked.. we prayed for them for years!  Then,  when I woke up our prayer was... just at least one for you Lord...just one. Little did we know who the "one" might be!  "

Amen- praise God for using Chas' life to further His kingdom. We are encouraged that Dad is whole, he is healed, and he has stood in the presence of Jesus today, and has been reunited with family and friends that went before him who knew Jesus as their Lord and Savior too.

Please continue to keep our family in prayer. We ask that God would guard our hearts, minds and soul from the enemy's schemes to attack us. We pray that our faith would be strengthened knowing we have victory over the enemy and that Jesus conquered death. We pray that God would continue to remind us of the good memories and of His goodness all the time.

You're welcome to reach out, share your encouraging words, scriptures and prayers here.

"How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn't have the chance to help me. Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."
Philippians 4:10‭-‬13 NLT

"Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you."
Philippians 4:4‭-‬9 NLT

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Psalms 34:18 NASB2020
