Day 30- September 18: Inpatient Rehabilitation Updates

🧦👟Occupational Therapy:
Dad had Eval for OT today
Dad did great getting ready!!
Goals: bathing, endurance
Discussed some home needs: will discuss further but got some obvious things noted
🚶Physical Therapy:
Walked with walker down the hall.
Dad did the bike in the gym for just over 10 minutes with some resistance. Wheelchair back (used feet to peddle some).
🗒️Other Updates:
Then I took Dad outside. We were probably for about 30 minutes to get some fresh air and enjoy the beautiful day. So nice but he was really tired.
I was able to support transferring him to bed when we got back.
We spent time reading the Bible and praying together throughout the day.
Dad had a lot of visitors including family, friends and co-workers! He was so thrilled by this and blown away to have so many people visiting! It was wonderful!
He took a few cat naps during the day.

Dad's continued healing. Strength and rest and peace. God's help in continuing to trust His perfect timing and plan in it all. I know Dad would love to be home, but is also excited for the ways God is continuing to use His story and time where he is right now.
His roommate. For them to connect and have the opportunity to know one another. For them to see and know Christ's love.
All of the staff and patients and families at this facility. God, continue to use Dad's story far above and beyond what we could even begin to imagine.

Praise God and thank you!! And we are praying for you. For the known and unknown requests. We know our God hears and He answers!! We know He cares so deeply for each of us, for our big and small cares and worries and requests: all of it! He knows our hearts and yet, He wants to hear about it all from us. ❤️ If there's any way we can be praying for you specifically, please let us know. It would be our absolute pleasure to love and support you in this way. 🫂🙏🏻❤️ (As you may have noticed, I've never shared specifics of people and requests outside of our own story. I'm happy to share if you want, but won't generally plan to do so unless requested). We have and will continue to pray for you, fervently, because we know our God hears and He does answer our prayers. Let His will be done. And if not in alignment with what we feel is our hearts desire, let our hearts be shaped to be more in alignment with His, knowing His plans for us are good (even when they look like a crazy, unlikely accident that brings us so close to death that is almost impossible we're alive). He is still good. He is enough.
