Updates:
π Overnight Report:
Up most of the night
Reoriented well
Mitts and roll belt on as he was trying to get out of bed
WBC within normal limits and labs appear to be improving
☀️ Day Report:
Mitts are off again!! But still has roll belt and video monitor.
Attempted PT but Dad was dizzy and unable to participate. Plan/goal for tomorrow to get up into the chair. ππ»π
Eye patch to help with double vision. Also having blurred vision
Confused today
π Evening Report:
Dad's confused tonight.
I called tonight and he seems tired
We talked a bit about going to rehab as he's ready to go and chatted a bit more about God's timing and plan for that. We know it's perfect so Dad just needs to rest, continue healing, eat and participate in therapy and we'll continue to pray. ❤️❤️ He agreed.
ππ»π Praises:
Through Him then, let's continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:15-16 NASB2020
ππ»ππ»ππ»We will continue to sing praises, even in the hard times, knowing and remembering that even still our God is good and faithful and He hears us and He is near.
Thank you, God, for yesterday and the time that we got with Dad and the kids, for his smiles and his jokes and excitement to have family close. Thank you for the progress Dad had already made in the healing process thanks to Your working in His life, the ways You work through the wonderful medical team at Upstate, and putting everyone in His path to be a part of You working this miracle! Thank you that even in the waiting we know we can trust you because You've shown us time and again that even when we can't see it, You're still working. Thank you for providing and for drawing us closer to You in this time. Thank you for the firm foundation we have in you that we are able to support and encourage and pray for one another and lean into You, God, because we can't do this on our own, but You, Lord, are all that we need!! Thank you for working in all things! ❤️ππ»π We praise You, God! Amen
❤️ππ»Prayer Requests:
Continued and complete, restoring healing for Dad.
Specifically for his brain and cognition: improved understanding, less confusion. For His eyes: he's having blurriness and double vision. Rest and healing for his body. The pain that he's in, that it would be well managed.
Restful sleep tonight.
Peace, Patience, grace, wisdom and insight all around. For Dad, the situation, as we wait for God's timing in it all and continue to seek His will in each step, for each other, for those around us. Let our interactions be a blessing to those we connect with. ❤️
God's timing for inpatient rehab: the right place and the right time. He won't go to a new facility until the video monitoring and roll belt are no longer needed (currently in place as a safety measure as they don't want him to try to get out of bed on his own).
Continued health and rest for us all.
Please keep the families and staff and others we've met along the way (our new friends) in your prayers! Some of their struggles and needs are so similar to our own and others are different but we know our God cares so deeply and genuinely for each one (big and small). ❤️ we lift up each and every need, every heart, every spoken and unspoken prayer and ask that God would work in mighty ways in them all.
For Dad to have the strength and energy for therapy and that his pain would be well managed so he's set up for success with therapy!
