Day 22-September 10: Updates

"For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My favor will not be removed from you, Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken," Says the Lord who has compassion on you.

☀️Update for today:

Today Dad was able to see all 4 grandkids which was such a highlight for us all!! ❤️❤️🫂🥰 He continues to talk more, although still struggles to gather his thoughts at times and is confused on and off throughout the day. The kids have been asking about him and praying for him and were so excited to see him, as he was them! ❤️🙌🏻 We're so grateful he was doing well and up to see them all!!

❤️Continued opportunities to meet others where they're at and being able to show Christ's love even here.

🙌🏻❤️Dad continuing to have opportunities to share his story and testimony and God's love too. He shared that he daily (multiple times a day) has the opportunity to do so. 


❤️🙏🏻Prayer Requests:

🙏🏻Our prayers remain similar to previous days: total healing and renewal for Dad (body, mind and soul). God's will and timing for the next step: inpatient rehabilitation. Continued peace, patience, love and grace to overflow from us and that we would be such a light to those around us.

❤️ Prayer for new friends that we're meeting along the way that are struggling through similar situations. For us to continue showing love, for them to know God's peace and presence in their situation.

Day 100- November 27th: Discharged!

Today has been such a blessing! Dad was discharged from Upstate and has returned to "Castleview"!!! 🥳🥳🥳  Dad did well on the drive and made it home before any snow storms! 😀 Thank you for your prayers!!  The JP drain was removed from his head yesterday as the drainage had essentially resolved and met criteria for removal. 🙌 A not so comfortable experience but  made it through! Thankful to have his dad there for support during the removal and got a few extra stitches as part of this process. Repeat CT scan was good!  Yesterday had more opportunities to get out of bed and visit with family. Pain had overall been well managed with Tylenol for 24hrs plus. Today, got clearance to shower and had incision cleaned. Learned how to care for the incision and signs to monitor for infection/complications. Plan for follow up in 2wks with neurosurgery to have stitches removed. Dad reports already feeling an overall improvement in mood and feeling "more normal"!🙌❤  Must say,
