Day 18 - September 6: Day Recap ❤️

"The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You. "Trust in the Lord forever, For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock. Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls.
Isaiah 26:3‭-‬4‭, ‬8 NASB2020

"Only be careful for yourself and watch over your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.
Deuteronomy 4:9 NASB2020

Let us not forget all that God  has already done in this:

Dad is alive!

He was not alone when the accident happened and our friend was able to call for help that arrived in time!

He made it to Upstate for the life saving surgery that he needed!

He has had the right team and the right care at the right time!

He survived the first 3 critical days!

He has strength in all extremities!!

He no longer requires the ventilator to breath for him and can breathe on his own!!

He is awake!!

He can talk!

He is remembering things and knows who we are!

He's smiling!

And he is praising God for what He's done!!!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸŽ‰❤️

God is continuing to work in all of this and we praise His name for it! Not only is He working in healing dad but he's providing opportunities for us to connect with people we never would've crossed paths with if we hadn't been in this situation. We've been able to show love and to be shown love through prayer, encouragement and overwhelming generosity of those around us.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:20‭-‬21 NASB2020

πŸ™πŸ»❤️ Prayer:

God, continue to heal every part of Dad's body. The broken and not quite whole pieces. Heal and protect his mind and his heart. Restore him and make him whole in a way that only You can.

Provide pain relief and clarity for him, that he would not be confused or delirious but present and understanding. Help him to be comfortable and find rest in You. Give him peace and remove from him the restlessness that he has seen the last several days. Help him to understand that he needs to allow his body to heal and rest is important. We pray that any anxieties or concerns in his mind would be released to You, that he would find rest and healing.

Help us to have the wisdom to know how to best support and love him in this healing process. Give us words of encouragement and peace. Help us to also know when we need rest. We need and pray for rest and peace and strength that comes from You.

Let our words and actions be full of love. And let it all be for Your glory. Let a Your will be done in it all. In Jesus name, Amen.

❤️πŸ™ŒπŸ»Jesus Paid it All:

I hear the Savior say
Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness, watch and pray
Find in Me thine all in all

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone

Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe

Oh, praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
