Day 4 - August 23: Additional Updates

Updates:
They've put his right arm in a sling to better support it with his fractured clavical. 


Praises:
His body is able to regulate his blood pressure without medication (as of yesterday)!!

Continued safety while traveling.

Amazing supportive family and friends. Thank you all for the continued prayers, encouragement, support and love!!


Prayer Requests:
Rest and strength for all of us: Charles and family.

Continued healing and progress for Charles.

Guidance and wisdom for the medical team as they care for Charles.

Clarity, wisdom, direction, and insight for family as we navigate this season. Knowing the questions to ask, understanding the information given, juggling work, life, school, kids, etc.

Day 100- November 27th: Discharged!

Today has been such a blessing! Dad was discharged from Upstate and has returned to "Castleview"!!! 🥳🥳🥳  Dad did well on the drive and made it home before any snow storms! 😀 Thank you for your prayers!!  The JP drain was removed from his head yesterday as the drainage had essentially resolved and met criteria for removal. 🙌 A not so comfortable experience but  made it through! Thankful to have his dad there for support during the removal and got a few extra stitches as part of this process. Repeat CT scan was good!  Yesterday had more opportunities to get out of bed and visit with family. Pain had overall been well managed with Tylenol for 24hrs plus. Today, got clearance to shower and had incision cleaned. Learned how to care for the incision and signs to monitor for infection/complications. Plan for follow up in 2wks with neurosurgery to have stitches removed. Dad reports already feeling an overall improvement in mood and feeling "more normal"!🙌❤  Must say,
